I wont go on and on about how visually beautiful this film was cause i'm sure half the class already went into that aspect. Aside from all the aesthetics the main thing that i took from the film was how honest and real the situations were that the family went through. From the oldest boy's perspective i was able to connect with the most obviously because i am a boy who went through many of the learning experiences portrayed in the film. The moments in the boys life that were focused on in this film were amazingly universal and i believe connect to everyone on some level. That level of film making is incredible and i hope i learn how to create that someday.
I don't think this is a film i would happily go watch again, but i am glad i saw it once so i can have it in my arsenal in case a discussion breaks out in the future.
