Hi Everyone! My name is Kianna Mathews, and I'm from Fishers Indiana, which is about an hour away from Huntington. If you ever see me around campus you can't miss me I'm the smallest person here( 4'2 to be exact ;) ) Animation is my major, and i can't be more excited about it, drawing is my passion and i can't wait to learn how improve my skills.
My main interest are: drawing(duh!) movies and music. As I've said before drawing is my passion, and as a child i was always interested in the anime drawing style so I made a promise to myself that i would learn how to draw in that style, and after years of practicing I've gotten so much better. My art helps me to see the beauty beneath everything in life, and because of this creativity, it also stretches my imagination. When I’m drawing I feel more at ease with everything, it gives me a time to just relax and clear my mind of everything that’s going on at the moment. Its not just a hobby for me, I feel that drawing is a mirror that I look through and understand my place in life, which makes me feel great. Movies are awesome, but not just Any movies, Great movies are awesome. Now like any person in this world I've seen some really bad movies before (ex: 10,000 B.C., American Dreams, Twilight) ,you know those movies that just make you cringe in your seat and make you ask your self "Why did i just spend $20.00 to see this crap?!" I hate those movies! But luckily I've seen some amazing movies before, such as King Kong, West Side Story, The Dark Knight, Toy Story and much much more. Its those kind of movies that i believe made me want to major in DMA. Now, when it comes to music i don't like to stick with just one type of genre of music. i like listening to Hip Hop, Rap, Soul, Funk, Jazz, Classical, Musicals, Rock, Techno, anything.... except for Country!
I am super excited about this class and i can't wait to learn more about it. :)
