As a filmaker especially a freshman I was worried that I wouldn't be able to get on any shoots, especially those made by upperclassmen. I'm am very thankful that this has not been the case and that I have been on as many shoots as I can possibly handle. I have been asked and have volunteered for countless shoots which I enjoy but its stretching me thin. It makes me look to the future to when I can focus more on the film and less on the repetitive school assignments. I realize that it won't get easier because I will just trade these responsibilities for more difficult and time consuming tasks but I guess i'm still looking forward to it. Basically the entire point of this blog is to encourage everyone to say yes to as many shoots as you can because although you may be wore a bit thin it will pay off in the end and its not going to get any easier so just jump in. Oh if you would like advice on how to say yes to a ton of film shoots contact Matt Shouse, he is definitely a yes man.
I literally laughed out loud when I read that last part about me. You have been really busy though, watch what you wish for. haha.
