Short Documentary

Here is a link to a short documentary I did sound for. I thought the video came out very well. I really like the style that Anthony chose here. Most documentaries that I see have the sound synced with the person's mouth, but Anthony doesn't. I think it works perfectly and really stylizes the piece. All the BRoll shots look gorgeous. The pull focuses and rack focuses really add to the film. When we shot the film I had my own ideas as to how I thought the film would turn out, and it didn't turn out even close to how I had I imagined. I like it even better than I imagined. This just goes to show that even with the same footage, editing can drastically change a film. I was talking to Anthony the other day and he was saying that if he or I got the dailies to a movie like Prometheus and we were the editors, a drastically different film would be created compared to the one that was released in theaters.
