One of the class discussions was about "Doing what you love and have a passion for, and making little money on it, or doing something you know will make you the big bucks, but not completely loving it?"
With questions, I believe that you should always do what you love and have a passion, however in our society you have to think strategically. Even though you may absolutely love doing something, you may not be able to make a living off of that. You have to think about the society, and how they would react to the things that you do, because you need to use tragedy within the film business. In my opinion, there are different types of audiences out there. Depending on what films you make, you want to be sure to attract one of those audiences in order to make money to survive. Granted your film idea may not attract many people, you should definitely make it because you are passionate about it. However, if others don't see eye to eye with you, making a film that you both enjoy and know will attract and capture audiences, then go for it, but make sure to pursue your passion first.
Even though this is a common issue in our world today, I think that people should always still follow their passion and dreams, even if it has to be on the side, because God wants you to use the gift he gave you to the best of your ability.
