Nudity In Film: Can It Be Used?

Today's word nudity has become a major piece of putting out movies that sell.  The American Pie Film Series brought back the sex and nudity craze in film.  Studios now do not care if a movie gets good reviews.  As long as it was inexpensive they are happy to put lots of breasts and buttocks into a motion picture.

Now let me tell you this is not blog on pornagraphy. Thats a whole other diffent debate.  My debate is the use of nudity in mainstream films and how it can be used wrong.  Many conservatives say that nudity is just offensive demoralizes people.  However some people say that nudity is needed to express vulernability and to be frank.  Now that can be true but often that is not the case.

In the American Pie movies, sex and nudity tends to hold the movies together. Especially the later movies.  Due to thin plots, they relied on the nudity to save the movie and sell the movie.  Nudity doesn't make a movie great.  In terms of conservatism the nudity is innapropriately used.

Schindler's List is a wonderful example of use of appropriate nudity.  During many scenes you see many naked men and women, but Spielberg's intent was not sexual.  His intent was to be frank and tell what really happened during the Holocaust.  Also in many movies the nudity is supposed to draw attention that will turn the audience on.  But Schindler's List does not.  Unless you're a little sadistic, you shouldn't get turned on by that.
