Here we go!

My name is Courtney Olson, I am 18 years old and am a Film Studies major here at Huntington University! I am from Medford, Minnesota, and yes, I have a slight accent. I came to Huntington University because the film department is wonderful and I felt very comfortable when I first stepped foot on campus. Along with my major in film studies, my passion for writing has driven me to minor in journalism, which I am also excited about!

My interests are chocolate, buffalo wings, cats, clothes, coffee, volleyball, basketball, shopping, laughing, socializing, jewelry, music, singing, and dancing. I feel very blessed to be a part of the Huntington community. One thing that I love about Huntington is the fact that everyone is so close and friendly. I went to a public school, so praying with peers and professors is very comforting to me, and I love the bond that God gives us when we all worship together. My relationship with God is very important to me. This past year, I have carried a few emotional burdens in which God has helped me through them, and I grew immensely close with him, which I am very thankful for. My faith is something that is important to me, and it is something that I cherish. Being able to be a part of a community with people that have the same morals and decision making methods as me is very warming.

In high school I played volleyball and basketball, and was also involved in my school musical and was a member of our Student Council from my sophomore year up to my senior year. Since my school was quite small, there were little classes I could take for either journalism or film, which is why I am excited to be able to learn everything there is to know about film and writing and meet lots of people and enjoy my college experience! I am very outgoing and love smiling and making people laugh, as well as having heart to heart talks with people about life and hearing what people are passionate about, so get to know me! :)
