Foreign Films
Until this year I never really liked foreign films, but Leeper's class has introduced me to some foreign films. Tonight we watched The Song of Sparrows, and it is also a foreign film. I really enjoyed the film and understood it. I've learned that just because a film is not an American film doesn't mean that it's not good film. Storytelling crosses all cultures and ethnic groups. In some ways I am almost starting to like foreign films better than American films. I love the grittiness and settings. I really liked the locations of The Song of Sparrows. The move had some city shots, but also many shots out in the wilderness and at the family's house. All I'm saying is that foreign films definitely deserve a fair chance at entertaining us. I've really learned to appreciate foreign films more and more. I would also highly recommend you to watch The Song of Sparrows, I felt the story related to almost everyone at one time or another.
