Being in this class, is very weird for me. I can't say that I have had any other class that is similar to this one. Whenever I leave the room, my mind is always in a deep thought, about what has just happened it the class. Sometimes, I even wonder if I should have chosen a different major, because I'm not sure that I am on the level that the majority of students are, when analyzing these films. I will be honest and say, somedays I enjoy it, somedays I don't. I have learned to be more open minded about things, since I have taken the class so far. Sometimes we watch films and I'm not exactly sure how to respond to them, because it isn't the usual stuff that they put into the media. The films that we are shown in class are more rich, and seem to have substance that the majority of films that are in theaters, lack. I enjoy being introduced to these new kinds of film, and my question is, why don't they show films like that in the theaters? I mean seriously, the majority of the stuff we are watching in class is way better than what we spend ten dollars to watch in a theater. It doesn't make sense. If you sell out and make a crappy film, you're probably going to make lots of money, but if you spend time trying to create a film with meaning and substance, then it won't even make hardly anything. That's just crazy to me.
